Chris Ramsey is backing our trio of loanees to be a success at Swindon Town next season.
Grant Hall, Massimo Luongo and Alex Pritchard have all joined the Robins for the season. They all showed what they could do in Tuesday night’s friendly against the first team at the County Ground – Massimo forced the save of the night from Brad Friedel while Alex curled just wide from a trademark free-kick.Midfielder Massimo spent the last couple of months of last season on loan at Swindon and helped them secure a place in the play-offs, where they lost out to Brentford in the semi-finals.Alex also impressed on loan in the Championship at Peterborough United last term and all three played a huge part in our Under-21s march to both titles and the play-off final of the Barclays U21 Premier League, Grant captaining the side at the end of the campaign.“We trust them as footballers and trust them to do a good job for Swindon,” said Chris, our Senior Professional Phase Coach.“They all did well last season and it will be a very good career boost for them to experience eight or 10 months at that level.“You could see they weren’t phased about playing against the first team this week. We were pleased with how they adapted to that situation.“I’m confident they will all push on again and show what they can do in League One.”
