Andre Villas-Boas once again had words of praise for our younger players despite defeat in the friendly against Monaco.
Zeki Fryers was pitched into an unfamiliar central defensive partnership with Jake Livermore and faced one of the hottest striking properties around in Falcao.Harry Kane entered the fray early when Jermain Defoe limped off as a precaution and found the target in the second half.Andros Townsend impressed again in another cameo off the bench and capped his personal display with a fine individual goal. There was also game time for development squad players Kevin Stewart and Nabil Bentaleb."The youngsters are coming through and when they play against opposition like that it's always very good for them," said Andre."We have a future in them. I'm happy with what they did and it shows they can come back to be even better."
