Club Historian Andy Porter has studied last season's matches and produced a fascinating series of stats, facts and figures.

Our away form was the best for some time with 37 goals scored the highest since 1963-64 when 43 were netted on our travels in finishing fourth in Division One. The 10 away wins and 34 away points were our best since 1984-85 when winning 12 and gaining 41 points.

We also scored more goals away than at home for only the sixth time in our league history, netting 37 on our travels and 29 at White Hart Lane. That was the largest margin since 1978-79 when scoring 29 on opponents’ grounds and 19 at home. The other seasons were 1983-84 (33 away, 31 home), 1994-95 (34-32), 1996-97 (25-19) and 2008-09 (24-21).

The 2-2 scoreline at Chelsea on May 8 was our 500th away draw in the Premier/Football League since gaining membership back in 1908.

We recorded our first League win on Welsh soil for nearly 56 years with the 2-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium on March 30. Our previous success in Wales was a 3-0 scoreline at Ninian Park, Cardiff on April 20, 1957. Our six visits since had yielded three defeats and three drawn matches.
