The wing-back has been out for a month after damaging his knee against Ipswich Town on January 12.
He trained at Spurs Lodge at the back end of last week and flew out to Germany at the weekend to join the squad for the game in Kaiserslautern.
"The knee is good now," Christian revealed. "I've trained for three days and everything is fine.
"I'm joining up with the national squad and I hope to play maybe one half, 30 minutes, it depends what the manager decides."
The big question for Spurs fans was would he be ready for the Worthington Cup Final? His inclusion in the German squad seems to have answered that question.
He added: "The big problem is always if you get injured, you try to get back as soon as possible.
"Sometimes you make a mistake and think you are ready to play when you are not ready. I am quite sure I'll be okay for the final and hope I can help the team win it."
Christian Ziege is hoping to kick-start his return from injury by playing a part in Germany's friendly against Israel tonight.
