Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Christian Ziege will miss the Premiership kick-off at Everton next weekend.

Glenn Hoddle reports that the German wing-back's ankle problem will rule him out for three weeks.

The World Cup finalist picked up the problem in the opening stages of last Wednesday's friendly against Celtic.

It's a blow to Glenn who had waited over a year to get Christian and Steve Carr in tandem down the flanks.

With Darren Anderton also a doubt for Saturday's opener, the boss could be without seven players - Ziege, Anderton, Steffen Freund, Les Ferdinand, Gus Poyet, Steve Clemence and Ledley King - at Goodison Park.

Glenn reflected: "Darren's got a knee problem but may yet still make it but Christian will be out for three weeks, which will be a blow to us.

"Behind the scenes we're trying to get everyone fit but at the moment, it seems to be a hard job on our hands.

"I'm sure with the persistence and belief we will get there. You always get three or four injuries but not eight or nine, which we've got at the moment."
