The German wing-back sustained the injury against Celtic and travelled to Germany to begin his rehabilitation. He is now back, feeling good and desperate to get going again.
"I'm fine, I'm actually fine," reported Christian earlier this week. "I've done good work, I had to rest the ankle for nearly ten days and could only work a little bit on the bike.
"I did some running stuff in the last three days and now I'm back here it looks fantastic - no pain.
"I was in Munich for a short while to see the doctor, but then I went to the clinic where Steffen was also working in Ahrensburg. I did my work there and it seems that everything is great."
Christian limped off in the early stages of the Celtic friendly, a great frustration for him having provided the cross for Steffen Iversen's goal.
"I was a bit unlucky," he added. "I was a little sad with challenge when it happened, but it's one of those things that happens in football so you have to get on with it.
"I hope I can come back as soon as possible.
"It depends on when I can train. I hope to train with the team soon and see how it goes fitness-wise - that is the main thing."
Christian Ziege returned to Spurs Lodge on Monday to step up his recovery as he chases a return after an ankle injury.
