Ziege blow, Carr flying

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle wore a frustrated look after Christian Ziege hobbled out of Wednesday night's friendly against Celtic.

The German wing-back suffered an ankle injury early on in the 1-1 draw and was replaced by Mauricio Taricco after only 17 minutes.

Christian is now doubtful for Sunday's friendly against Italian giants Lazio at the Lane and a concern for the boss with the start of the Premiership just over a week away.

Christian has turned an ankle, so that's a big blow for us," sighed Glenn.

"We've been waiting a whole year to get Christian and Stephen Carr on the pitch together, two great wing-backs, and it lasted 17 minutes. I don't know, I scratch my head.

"He's a doubt now for Sunday but Everton, I don't know, it's too far ahead."

On a brighter note, Stephen continues to impress with his form and fitness after a year out of action.

He has now played three full 90-minute stints in a week at Crystal Palace, Feyenoord and against Celtic - his first appearance at the Lane since May 2001.

Glenn added: "He's getting there slowly but surely. He hit a couple of magnificent balls tonight, one to Teddy was exquisite."
