Ziege back with a bang

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Christian Ziege marked his return to action with a stunning goal in a private friendly against QPR at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.

The German star smashed home a 25-yard volley from Jamie Redknapp's pinpoint pass to open the scoring in the 2-1 victory.

Mark Yeates grabbed the second goal while Neil Sullivan saved a penalty in the second half.

It was Christian's first match action since the horrific thigh problem he sustained on Boxing Day - his amazing recovery from that career-threatening injury interupted by a knee ligament tweak that set him back a further month.

Meanwhile, Jamie continued his return from a five-month injury absence with a combative midfield display.

He followed up his 65-minute shift for the reserves against Arsenal last Wednesday with 85 minutes against Rangers.
