Your say on Cardiff

Posted on 25 February 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A selection of your reactions to the Worthington Cup final on Sunday...

I was at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff yesterday, and to see Ledley King in tears was very refreshing. It shows he cares for the badge and that can only be good for Tottenham. I was gutted, still am and it will be a difficult week but please pass on the Glenn and the lads that I still love them, and believe in them, and let's get back there in May for the FA Cup final, I fancy a successful visit then! Many thanks.

Duncan Ross, 16, Oxfordshire

If possible, please could you pass on my appreciation to all Spurs fans in regard to Sunday's Worthington Cup Final with Blackburn Rovers. I am a Blackburn fan and I was pleased at how Spurs fans came up to me and congratulated me and my team's success in the Worthington Cup. You are all a great set of supporters and I would like to wish you all well in the FA Cup and the Premiership.

Phil Coates

Bad luck in the Worthington cup. Don't be too down, you did your best. Even if we come out with nothing this season you have made this fan of over 40 years, very happy through your great football. All the best for the rest of the season.

Ed Spevock

Just like to pass a message onto the boys just to say unlucky lads and keep your heads up.

Dan Hunt

I was disgusted that not only did Graham Poll not see that challenge as a foul on Teddy but the linesman should has been able to see it as he could have been only 15 yards away. Why didn't he flag? Although we should have clinched the game on the number of chances, I feel that yet another refereeing decision has cost us dearly.

Simon Baker

Well where do you start? we played really well I thought, again defensively not so great but the movement was top class again. It just shows though, when Teddy has a bad game spurs have a bad game. No luck for spurs as always and ref against us as always. Ah well, I still love this club.

Sven Lyus

Definately a penalty! Spurs were robbed of a chance to put things right.

Susan Bibby

It was extremely unfair how Spurs lost the penalty appeal. I cried in pain as the full time whistle went, along with thousands of other fans. However, It must not be forgotten how we got to Cardiff, Glenn Hoddle and the boys have played superbly throughout. We must keep our heads high and go into the Chelsea FA Cup clash, with an aim to come back to Cardiff in May, and prove that we can win. Good luck Spurs.
