It was one of the great European nights in our history and last week we asked fans to send in stories and pictures from around the world.
We have been overwhelmed by the response both from fans who made the trip to Milan for our Champions League, Round of 16 first leg victory; those who stayed at home; and those who showed their support from thousands of miles away.
For example, we were delighted to hear from Martin Willis of the Spurs Canada supporters’ club in Toronto. The guys watched the game in the ‘Aw Shucks’ bar in Aurora, and we were fascinated to know that Duncan Rowe, grandson of legendary former manager Arthur, was in attendance and cheering on the lads with them.
And plenty of you who made the trip to Milan had unforgettable experiences, like Mark Urso-Cale from Oxfordshire who put the icing on the cake of his trip by getting engaged on Valentine’s Day.
William Wait, who belongs to a supporters’ club in Malta, was finally able to go and see his beloved Spurs for the first time at the San Siro.
And for Tony Rogers and seven other members of Jersey Spurs, it was a nightmare journey to get to Milan after their original flight to Paris was cancelled, meaning the detour took them through Guernsey, Exter and the French capital before finally arriving in Milan! It was all worth it though.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those fans who sent in their pictures and stories. Sorry we could not include them all.
We hope to see as many of you as possible at the Lane for the all-important return leg on Wednesday, March 9.
