Your goals of the season

Posted on 10 June 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Martin Jol's choice of best Spurs goal last season has struck a chord so far with fans e-mailing us with their favourites.

Head Coach Martin went for Erik Edman's stunning effort at Anfield in April and the super Swede's 40-yard strike tops our poll so far.

It's not a forgone conclusion though with Jermain Defoe's solo effort against Arsenal, Dean Marney's curler against Everton, Andy Reid's cracker against Villa and Robbie Keane goals against Portsmouth and Brighton all in the mix.

And there is also big support for the one that got away - Pedro Mendes' now infamous 'goal' from the half-way line against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

We will run a top five countdown next week with your some of your comments - so if you haven't voted yet - please do so now!

Don't forget, if you vote for the winner, you could win a programme signed by midfielder Michael Carrick.
