Charlton Athletic U17s 0-0 Spurs

Jimmy Neighbour was delighted with this performance from his young team - not least 15-year-old debutant Phil Ifil.

Chances were few and far between in difficult conditions and, all in all, a goalless draw was a satisfactory outcome.

"We played a very young side including Phil, who played a couple of years above his age group and coped well," said Jim.

"It wasn't a great game to be honest, the wind spoilt it and there weren't too many chances. I was happy enough though and the young lads did well."

Spurs U17s: Rutherford, Ifil, Jenkins, Barnett (Francis, 45), Foster (Watson, 45), Dobson, Price, Hicks, Malcolm, Yeates (Noto, 45), Ford. Unused subs: Black, Perry.
