The youngsters are currently competing in the 10th Chairman of Korea Under-15 Football League and Governor of Gyeongsangbukdo Cup International Football Tournament.

During the trip, the players have made a visit to the Ganggu King Crab Football Complex to make the donation to children in Youngdoek-gun and Geongsangbuk-do alongside AIA Korea Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Stanley, and the Governor of Youngdoek, Lee Hee-Jin.

It is part of our continued work with AIA to encourage healthy living and increase sports participation amongst young people throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Mark said: “AIA recognises the vital role that active participation in sport plays in promoting a healthy lifestyle. The donation is meaningful as it creates an environment where football-loving kids can now enjoy the sport as much as they want.

“AIA will continue its long-term commitment to support the development of Korea’s youth soccer, as we believe football also teaches young people the value of teamwork extending well beyond the playing field.”

Prior to travelling to Korea, the Under-15s lifted the Lion City Cup in Singapore with victories over the National Football Academy side and Liverpool, and are currently two games into the tournament in Korea with a defeat, a win and one game to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
