We take on Georgia’s champions and double-winners Dinamo Tbilisi in the Europa League play-off, first leg at the Dinamo Arena.

Dinamo’s title success saw them enter European competition in the Champions League qualifiers this season. They hammered EB/Streymur 9-2 on aggregate in the second qualifying round before losing to Steaua Bucharest 3-1 on aggregate in qualifying round three.

We now play over two legs - the return at the Lane next Thursday, August 29 - with the winners through to the group stage of the competition.

“I’m sure this is a good team because they are always in Europe, so we have to be prepared and fully concentrated when we face them,” said Younes.

“Both teams want to qualify for the group stage and we’ve come here to pick up a good result. We will be ready.”

Younes insists the players are determined to taste success this season.

"We will carry on from last season and take each competition seriously and try to go as far as we can in all competitions,” added the French defender.

“It all starts again with a very important game to try and qualify for the group stages of the Europa League, then try to finish in the top four and hopefully play Champions League again next season.”
