David Pleat has hinted that he'll hand a Premiership debut to youngster Mark Yeates in tomorrow's final game of the season at Wolves.
The livewire Irish midfielder has been on the fringes throughout the campaign and earned rave reviews in a loan spell at Brighton between November and January.
He's also been on the bench twice and David revealed today: "We'll probably give a debut to young Mark Yeates. He's a lovely player who, in a perfect world, would have got a game much earlier.
"But the pressure of points means it's not easy to do.
"In the group tomorrow we'll have blooded the likes of Rob Burch, John Jackson, Dean Marney and Stephen Kelly, who will play again at Wolves.
"We've handled Stephen carefully and he's had loans at Southend, QPR and Watford wihich have brought him on well.
"It's a nice young squad at Wolves tomorrow."
Missing from that squad are Simon Davies (shin), Mauricio Taricco (calf) and Stephen Carr (ankle).
