Xtra - all-time PL Spurs team - left midfield vote

And what a decision fans have as David Ginola and Gareth Bale go up for the same position alongside Nicky Barmby and Steed Malbranque!

Here are more details on the candidates...

Nicky Barmby - 1992-95 - Attacking midfielder/striker who broke through the Academy system and played off the left in the 'famous five' of 1994-95. He went on to play 87 times for us in the Premier League, scoring 20 goals.

David Ginola - 1997-2000 - Fans favourite and one of the greats of the modern era, the French star played 100 times for us in the Premier League after signing from Newcastle and thrilled all with his mazy runs down the left. He scored some fantastic goals as well, few better than his FA Cup dribble at Barnsley. Won the PFA/Football Writers double in 1999, on top of his League Cup medal.

Steed Malbranque - 2006-2008 - All-energy midfielder who worked tirelessly for the team, scored in the famous 5-1 League Cup semi-final against Arsenal and went on start as we beat Chelsea in the final. Played 62 times for us in the Premier League.

Gareth Bale - 2007-present - Now seen as one of the biggest talents on the European and world stage, Gareth hasn't looked back since cementing a place in the team in January, 2010. Performances in 2010-11 Champions League made him a player everyone was talking about and he was named PFA Player of the Year in 2011. Another fine season in 2011-12 included nine goals in 36 PL starts. Now on 113 PL appearances for us.

Right midfield vote

Aaron Lennon stormed to victory in the right-midfield poll on Friday with 73.49% per cent of the vote, ahead of Darren Anderton on 23.80%.
