Both Graeme Souness and Glenn say the former Manchester United man just needs time before he starts hitting the net on a regular basis.
Souness said: "It's going to take Andy four or five games before we see the best of him. I know he is as good as any striker around and better than most."
Glenn added: "Like any striker at a new club, Cole needs time to adjust. He'll get many goals for Blackburn."
The Mirror re-hashes the quotes from a Ukrainian newspaper reporting Sergei as saying the management are ready to talk about his transfer. Glenn has repeatedly denied these reports.
Most of the post-match reaction in the papers centres on Blackburn's new recruit Andy Cole.
