Wolves at the door...

Harry Redknapp needs no reminders of the potential danger as we prepare to face Wolves at the Lane on Saturday.

The men from Molineux and Manchester United were the only teams to complete the 'double' of home and away wins against us on our way to fourth in the Premier League last season.

That statistic plus defeat at home last time out to Wigan has certainly sharpened the squad's focus ahead of Saturday's encounter.

"We're expecting a tough game," said Harry. "We played them twice last season and they beat us twice, fair and square. They played very well against us.

"They are competitive, work hard, make tackles and will get amongst us, but that's what the Mick (McCarthy) expects them to do and what they get paid to do.

"We have to make sure we're ready. We need plenty of movement, we need to pass the ball well and it's up to us to open them up."

Harry described that Wigan defeat as the only 'blemish' of the season so far.

Certainly, if we'd won that game, we'd have been sitting pretty in fourth on eight points, unbeaten, having qualifed for the group stages of the Champions League.

"Yes, if we'd beaten Wiga we would be sitting here on eight points and that would have represented a very good start," added Harry.

"But I'm very happy with the way we've played.

"The first half at Werder Bremen on Tuesday was as good as I've seen us play. That performance compared to how we played away at City last season."
