Adam Binns: I think we need a top striker. One person's name who we don't seem to consider is Kliuvert - after all, he does want to play in England. I think we should sell Taricco and Ferdinand. Another good buy could be Bobby Zamora of Brighton as he appears to be a good player. I would also love to see Joe Cole playing for us. And for a good defensive midfielder how about Edgar Davids, or Zidane, or Raul, or Shevchenko... in our dreams.
Chris Finch: We dont have an out and out goal scoer at the club - Teddy is more of a creative forward and Les is getting goals but we need someone who can get 20 - 25 a season no problem. I say we get one of the following - Kevin Phillips, Tore Andre Flo or Robbie Keane. All I feel would do the job @ Spurs. Also we need some more skill in midfield so I say someone like - Solano from Newcastle - We can play him midfield and also play him right wing back too. C'MON THE SPURS
Paul Robinson: We have to face facts that we hold some great players like Carr, Ziege, Davies, Anderton and King, but they are not done justice by players like Taricco, Thatcher and if honest, Sherwood and an ageing attack. Ferdinand, Sheringham and Sullivan are too inconsistent. We need more grit in the midfield someone with passion like Butt, di Livio or to a lesser extent, Redknapp or Parlour. I can't see the harm with looking at Tiatto or Berkovic at Man City. We definitely need to get strikers in as Hoddle well knows. We may have to look abroad as nobody within the Premiership is prolific enough for the money outlayed, unless we monitor Bridges at Leeds or Smith as they may wish to leave soon enough. I think Pahars maybe ok, otherwise look abroad for better value.
Chris Doherty: I think that Nicky Butt and Kevin Phillips should be brought to the Lane, that's all we need. Also Perry is a class defender and I think that Gardner and King should play alongside him!
Stephen Self: Edgar Davids
Andrew Ewen: I would love to see us sign Barry Ferguson. He's a great passer, scores goals, he's hungry for the game, good attitude and has a bit of bite in the challenge. He's a talented youngster. BUY HIM!!!!
Michael Agger: Get Nicky Butt and Steffen Effenberg for the midfield, get Martin Laursen (AC Milan) for the defence, get Peter Madsen (Brondby IF) & Bobby Zamora or Jan Vennegoor of Hessellink for the attack. A lot of good players will be Bosman free in the summer, go get some there to! As for selling, hmmm, I think maybe Rebrov should go, he doesn`t seem happy here, so maybe load him off to Parma, and get Di Vaio?? But I really mean you should look
out for Peter Madsen, he is going to be the new Preben Elkjaer (and he`s even got the temper too!)... How about getting Henke from Celtic or Debril Cisse' from Auxerre...Gotta stop before I run amok here!!... Hey, Mads Jorgensen from Brondby is very good too!
Allan Davies: How about this youngster Ashton from Crewe? He looks a very good prospect, big, strong fast and skillful. WE should get him now before he comes to 'The Lane' with another prem team and scores a hat-trick against us.
Zaffar Ward: We should go for a new wing-back to cover ziege or Stephen Carr while they
have been injured this season. We need a young gifted defensive midfeilder. Also we need a striker someone like Kevin Phillips or Henrik Larsson.
Andreas Henriksen: We need D'Alessandro from River Plate. The midfielder Maradona himself has refered to as the player who is most similar to himself when he was that age. We also need a great striker.
Owen Liiv: In my opinion, we need to start investing in the future, because as we have seen with clubs like Leeds, and Mancheser United, success comes with a combination of experience and youth. We already have a wealth of experience in the squad with the likes of Sheringham, Ferdinand, Poyet and Anderton, so maybe a top class defender would be the best option. Of
course with this I think the squad needs a bit of trimming, players like Clemence, Taricco and Freund should be sold if we stand a realistic chance of gaining a place in Europe, because we need depth in our squad like the top four, and if it takes a few years for the youth team to bear its fruits, I'm more than happy to wait.
