Tony Sutton: Klinsmann gave us something to get excited about back in '95.Has anyone noticed Bierhoff is on a free and could do exactly the same for us in the short term. He may be a reserve for ac Milan but there are not too many defenders in the premier league who could still deal with him.
Lee Prigmore: Guardiola, Seth Johnson and, if possible, Shevchenko.
Kenneth Teh: Keep Clemence. Keep Anderton. Ferdinand should go. Sherwood should go. Get Richards from Saints, Seth Johnson from Derby, and if you’ve got 20 Million quid to spend, get Chiesa from Fiorentina.
Dave Booth: We need quality in midfield, Pep Guardiola springs to mind, on a free and wants to play in England - need I say more. We should also try for Barry Ferguson, great tackler and wonderful passer, he’s young and plays with passion. A strong classy central defender is needed - how about Jan Nowotny, big, strong and a German Int'l. A classy goal poacher would be nice, someone like Kevin Phillips, quick brain, quick feet and a fairly local lad, we may be able to coax him back south.
Mark Chandler: Spurs should make a bid for Jamie Redknapp from Liverpool. I think it may be time for him to settle back in the South. Also, we should try again for Ole who is very under-used at Man Utd. Now may be the time while he is unhappy at not getting a regular place.
Paul-Gerhard Woolcock: Davids to bring a bit of grit and passion to midfield. Hyypia (some chance), and in defence, Ivan Campo or Nesta. The problem is not just one of money. None of these players would be willing to come to a club that routinely finishes mid-table. If we can't offer even European footall, then we have no chance of getting them.
Nick May: Robbie Fowler is a must (unhappy in Liverpool), Barry Ferguson, Kevin Hofland, Gerrard would be the dream Midfielder, but I’m a realist!!! Give Davies a chance and stick an offer in for Nesta, what are Lazio gonna need him for, they have just brought Stam...
Barry Nelson: I agree that world class players will help us become a better team. Pep Guardiola is an obvious choice. Nuno Gomes looked good at Billy Nic's testimonial. Michael Carrick because West Ham are always going to sell talent and he is improving every game.
Mark Jenner: Guardiola, class in midfield and a free transfer what more could we want? Robbie Fowler (a genuine goalscorer) or Solskjaer, Kamanan and Davies to get a first team chance. A powerful central defender in the Richards mould.
Ian Smith: Bring Guardiola in to support Poyet and Anderton. Another attempt should be made for Dean Richards (an ideal defensive partner for the quality Ledley King.) Ugo Ehiogu would also be worth considering. A new striker would also be good. A player like Shevchenko, Phillips, Fowler or Owen. Someone who is capable of scoring 20-30 goals a season. Ginola would always be welcome back!!!! Go get em Glenn!
