Wins of change

Juande Ramos is convinced that a couple of wins - starting in Poland this afternoon (October 2) - will completely change the mentality of the players.

Confidence is naturally suffering after our disappointing start to the Premier League campaign.

However, we've played two, won two in cup competitions and aim to stretch that record against Wisla Krakow in the UEFA Cup.

We lead 2-1 from the first leg at the Lane so a draw or a win at the Wisly Stadium - remember, kick-off is 2.40pm UK time - will take us through to the group stages of the competition.

Juande said: "At the moment the tie is 50-50, one goal for us or one goal for Wisla will be important. It is a very important match for both teams.

"The players know what we have to do to stay in the UEFA Cup and they want to play their best football.

"We are convinced it is possible to win.

"The pressure is very high and we need to win two or three matches, then the mentality of the players will change. We need to think about this match and then concentrate on the Premier League.

"We need to change our situation but I'm sure, little by little, we will do it."
