Our Uruguayan midfield star says his previous derby matches in Spain with Real Zaragoza and in London with Chelsea do not match up to this north London spectacle.
Gus, whO admits he can barely wait for Saturday, enthused: "I've have played many times against Arsenal but everyone has told me this will be completely different.
"This will be a special game, the game all supporters wait for all season. It will be something else and I'm looking forward to it.
"At Chelsea there were a lot of London derbies but not really that special. Perhaps Fulham was the special one this season but when I was there they looked forward to playing Manchester.
"In Spain, Zaragoza didn't really have a team, sometimes Osasuna, but I didn't have the chance to play a really special one. This will be a special one.
"You don't need to talk much about motivation here. We want to win the game. This time it doesn't matter about playing really well, I'm sure the supporters just want to win."
And what about the chance to leapfrog the Gunners in the table if we win? "We were thinking of that before we went to Leeds and we were practically there, 1-0 up, lot of options to win it but we lost," added Gus.
"Now we have another great chance to go forward. It's a big game, I hope everyone enjoys it, we come out with the three points and then have a nice time with the supporters!"
Gus Poyet goes into what he describes as his first 'special' derby game insisting: "Nothing else matters but the win."
