Wilko on his Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Howard Wilkinson has expressed his delight at the continued development of our Premiership young guns.

Luke Young is with the England Under-21 party in Greece as injury denied boss Wilkinson of the services of Ledley King, Anthony Gardner and Matthew Etherington.

With Alton Thelwell also featuring in his plans this season, Wilkinson has been able to call on five Tottenham players. It is not inconceivable that all five could end up in a squad together next season.

Wilkinson said: "I’m pleased with how youth development is going now.

"We’re not only producing good players but some exciting young players. We have to make sure that we look after them, protect them, nuture them and not overwork them or overstress them, just allow them to grow and blossom a little.

"The Spurs lads have had experience and that experience will stand them in good stead but they haven’t been overdosed, which can have its downside.

"As far as I’m concerned they’ve done well and thanks very much."
