I have been a Spurs fan since I was 6 years old in 1971. I am originally from the St Albans area and saw my first Spurs Game at home on May 8th 1974 when Spurs played Liverpool at Home.
It was an evening game and I remember that it cost me one pound to get in. The game was a one all tie. I believe that Spurs scored first, and Liverpool came back with one in the second half. It was the best Birthday one could ever have. I have much to be thankful for as my History and Football coach at Primary school, Andrew Silcox was and still is a big Spurs Fan.
Over the years I was not too fortunate to to see many home games, however I did see Spurs win at Wembley twice at the replays on Thursday night's in 1981 and 1982. Also getting to see Spurs win at Wembley in 1999 at the Worthington Cup Final with my Dad was a highlight of my life.
I have lived in the USA since 1983, but try to see at least one home Spurs game every year.
Here I am outside my apartment in Pasadena CA, USA proudly wearing my Adidas Spurs shirt from last season and and wearing an old Hummel Spurs Tracksuit top.
Of course now with the advent of good satelite and live games from England and the Fox round up every Sunday, I can get to see quite a few Spurs games in the season. A far cry from when I first lived in the USA and there would be a small snippet on the back pages of the city newpaper with the score of the First Division only.
Up the Spurs. Best Regards,
