ABOUT SPURS
Why do you support Spurs?

I have supported Spurs since 1961 when I was 8 - much to the disappointment of my father who is an Arsenal supporter.

Have you been to White Hart Lane - if so what's your favourite memory of the visit?

My memories date back to 1961 and although I have not attended that many games (around 40 in all I would guess), Spurs have won every single one.

I have lived in New Zealand since 1993 but have supported Spurs since 1961 when I was eight. I attended matches mainly between around 1967 and 1971 and never saw them lose OR draw. I also attended the 1971 and 1973 league cup finals.

The first game I ever saw was in around 1963 when Spurs played Stoke and won 2-1. Stanley Matthews was playing for Stoke. I recently came to England for my parents golden wedding and, not having been to Spurs for so many years, desperately wanted to attend a game. I managed to get two tickets ( I brought my 11 year old son with me) for Spurs v Everton. Imagine my feelings when they were 2-0 down in 30 minutes. But my son turned to me and said "Don't worry Dad you are their lucky charm". Well he was right and my record has remained intact.

How do you keep in touch with Spurs news?

Over the internet with Sporting-life.com and the Spurs website.

Who is your favourite current player?

Sol Campbell

What about a former favourite?

No contest. Jimmy Greaves.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT...

Our newcomers Sergei, Neil and Ben

Neil seems to be a bit of a character. We sat behind the goal at the Everton game and he related well to the fans. Sergei is a quality player. Ben has yet to prove himself worthy of a Tottenham shirt.

Who should we try to sign next?

Someone to excite the fans and be a goal provider.

Our targets for the season?

I am not sure what our targets for the season are. But as a minimum they should be to get into Europe next year.

The new away kit

I like it very much.

The Spurs website

A big improvement on the previous site.
