White Hart World: Claude Ehrismann

Posted on 14 June 2001  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Name: Claude Ehrismann

Lives: Uster, Switzerland

Age: 21

Hobbies: SPURS! Football, ice hockey, travelling

Last visit to the Lane: January 20 2001, Spurs-Southampton (unfortunately 0:0!)

When ever I go on holiday, there is one particular thing which I take always with me - one of my Spurs shirts! Usually it's the home shirt with the HP print on the front. I like this one very much. I've also got the new Holsten one which has been signed by all the current players.

On the first picture you see me in the beautiful dessert of Dubai, UAE. I went there about one year ago and I got the chance to meet a lot of British people. No one but me was a Spurs supporter! What a shame! At least there was an English TV-channel where Premier League matches were shown.

The second picture was taken in Maui, Hawaii, USA, in January 2001. I went there to visit a friend of mine who used to live there at that time. As you certainly know, football (or soccer - how they say) isn't the number one sport in the United States, so no one recognised my glory shirt!

I've got eight shirts so far and I wear them here in Switzerland when ever I get a chance to. The Swiss people show quite different reactions due to the fact that German and Italian football is much more popular in Switzerland. Some don't even know to which team it belongs!

The comments of the others are mostly positive. Unfortunately, I must admitt that we have much more Gooners than Spurs here in Switzerland! We've got also a great deal of Man Utd., Liverpool and Chelsea supporters. To change the current situation, some friends and I are establishing an Official Swiss Tottenham Hotspurs F.C. Supporters Club. We are pretty sure that it's gonna be a complete success.

Finally, I'd like to thank all the Spurs-Chat-Users for the numerous interesting discussions and the informations given which are not available for me in Switzerland. You all let me learn even more about this massive, fantastic club.

Spurs forever! Greetings from Switzerland!

Claude
