Kanoute again while AC Milan defender Martin Laursen is also a rumoured target with Simon Davies and Steve Carr linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Sun's back page claimed Spurs are in for David Seaman - a claim quickly shot down by David Pleat. Most of the other dailies suggest that Newcastle are interested in Stephen Carr, with the Mail linking a swap with Carl Cort. The Mirror link us with Bobby Zamora, Frederick Kanoute and Cort.

A number of newspapers including the Star and Mirror quote Simon Davies, speaking before Wales' friendly against USA in San Jose, insisting he's going nowhere, he's fully behind Glenn Hoddle but there will have to be changes at the club in the summer.
