The Mirror, Guardian and Star carry briefs saying that Wolves are close to completing the signing of Steffen Iversen, while the Star claims that a Wolves move for Sergei Rebrov has been thwarted by a demand for a £2m fee.

The Express, Star and Mail all report that Darren Anderton has travelled to South Africa for the pre-season tour with the squad, while the Guardian, Mail, Mirror and Express report that Steffen Iversen is set to join Wolves. The Express reports that Glenn is pleased with the start made by Bobby Zamora and the Mirror uses our quotes from Robbie Keane on the new recruit.

Most papers carry brief match reports from our 3-0 win against Norwich at Carrow Road and quote Glenn saying he is happy that Darren Anderton is staying. The Sun and Express link Sergei Rebrov with a move to Wolves.
