Harry Redknapp described it as a 'great night all-round' as we booked a place at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and key results went our way in the Premier League.
Indeed, as players, management and fans alike celebrated an electric quarter-final win against Fulham at the Lane, Everton and Sunderland strengthened our position in the Premier League with fine performances against Manchester City and Aston Villa respectively.
Everton beat City 2-0 at Eastlands and that means City's game in hand has gone and we remain fourth by two points. Sunderland's 1-1 draw at Villa means Martin O'Neill's side are four points behind in seventh with Liverpool on the same total in sixth having played a game more.

"It was a great night for us," beamed Harry after his substitutions helped inspire a turn around against Fulham from 1-0 down at half-time to a memorable 3-1 win. "Everton is a massive result for us.
"They are bang in form, we had a tough game against them a couple of weeks ago and they've gone to City and won so that will be a great boost, that was a top result for us.
"Villa not winning was also good for us. It's going to be close and I wouldn't write Liverpool off. I've looked at the fixtures and it's going to be close between all of us.
"I just wanted to win against Fulham and it was a great performance in the second half. It was important we won - those results were the icing on the cake."
