We've gone wireless!

Posted on 20 February 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

This week we are launching a new service called Spurs Connect, as part of our commitment to providing the best and most modern facilities of any football club.

Spurs Connect means we are the first Premiership Club to have wireless (WiFi), high-speed Internet access.

White Hart Lane now becomes a 'hot' spot enabling everyone entering the stadium with a WiFi-enabled device, such as a modern laptop or Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to have rapid, wirefree access to the Internet from the comfort of your match seat, whether you're in the stand or in an executive box!

So how could you use Spurs Connect? On a matchday you could surf the web from your seat, checking the scores from other matches, listening to commentary through spurs.co.uk and communicating with friends. The press will also benefit from the new service, as journalists will be able to file their copy instantly via email at the final whistle. Delegates in our conferencing facilities will also have a high-speed, seamless and secure link to their company networks via Virtual Private Network technology.

Getting online is easy, all you have to do is open you WiFi enabled device and connect to the signal ‘Canova WiFi’. On Sunday though, Spurs Connect is free so just open up Internet Explorer and you will be surfing the Internet right away!

To celebrate the new service we are giving away some fantastic prizes! Pick up a flyer at the turnstiles for more information and you could win a state of the art PDA or a fantastic X-box!

Our innovative service, Spurs Connect, is brought to you by WiFi specialist, Canova Wireless, in partnership with broadband heavyweight, Bulldog Communications.
