Welsh stars together at Lodge!

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

We had a special visitor to Spurs Lodge on Friday - Emma Plewa, our first international player at Spurs Ladies.

And she was greeted at the training ground by another star of Welsh international football - Gareth Bale!

Emma joined our ladies team a fortnight ago to add further strength to a squad that has started so well in the FA Women's Premier League South after promotion last season.

A midfielder or striker, Emma has been capped 25 times by Wales already at the age of 22.

She was joined by ladies manager Karen Hills, who said: "It's a big deal for the club to sign our first international and Emma has been fantastic in her time with us so far."

Gareth said: "The ladies team is becoming stronger and stronger and it's great for them and Emma.

"I'm sure she's a great player and the most important thing is that she's focused on her football. If she continues to work hard, I'm sure she'll do well for Tottenham and Wales."

Look out next week for a feature on Emma both on tottenhamhotspur.com and Spurs TV Online...
