'We have to believe' - Harry

Harry Redknapp has told his players to believe they can do the unthinkable tonight.

The manager knows our chances of overturning the 4-0 first leg deficit in our Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid have been written off by most.

But he also knows that anything is possible from this team if we give it our all against Jose Mourinho’s men.

Harry said: "Everyone feels that the tie is over but we know that we are a good team and can play well here at White Hart Lane.

“We know that it would take a miracle but miracles can happen. We have to believe that if we give it our best shot you never know what can happen.

“It will be very difficult obviously. But as long as we play well and give our best shot and everything that we have, I can't ask for any more."

Above all, Harry feels both fans and players should relish the occasion tonight and be optimistic – especially after Saturday’s first Premier League win in five games against Stoke.

He continued: "We played well on Saturday so we are in a good frame of mind.

"It’s a fantastic game to look forward to. We would have liked to have been in a position where we were a lot closer to them but the first leg did not go our way for reasons that we know and have seen.

“But it’s last eight of the Champions League, we’re playing Real Madrid, and I am sure that the fans and players are looking forward to it.”

In order for us to complete ‘mission impossible’, it would appear all-out attack from the first whistle should be the gameplan.

But Harry urges caution and patience, adding: “People have said that we have to attack them but you can't be that open, we are playing against a team of world class players.

“What you don't want is everyone bombing forward and getting hammered on the counter-attack. We have to be controlled and take our chances if and when they come.”
