Wilson Palacios is back in the World Cup spotlight with a crucial match for Honduras against Spain tonight.

Both teams lost their opening match in Group H - Wilson and Honduras went down 1-0 to Chile while pre-tournament favourites Spain suffered a surprise 1-0 loss against Switzerland.

Defeat tonight could spell an early end to the tournament for the losers. Indeed, if Chile and Switzerland draw in today's other match in Group H, the team that loses in Johannesburg will be out.

Meanwhile, Heurelho Gomes was on the bench again as Brazil beat Ivory Coast 3-1 in Group G on Sunday night, therefore booking their place in the last 16.

Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson were all out training for England on Monday morning.

Ledley King continued his recovery from a groin problem with a session in the gym.

'Daws' could be in line for his full England debut against Slovenia on Wednesdy - Jamie Carragher is suspended, so either our Player of the Season or Matthew Upson will partner John Terry.
