Spurs U17s 2-0 Aston Villa

Our Under-17s ended Villa's unbeaten start to the season with a performance boss Jimmy Neighbour described as 'our best so far'.

Freescoring Jamie Slabber paved the way with another goal to his tally with just four minutes on the clock.

Mario Noto did the damage down the touchline and his near-post cross was met first time by Slabber whose effort crashed home off the underside of the crossbar.

Danny Foster wrapped up the points with the second goal after 58 minutes, a powerful header from Lee Barnet's corner.

"That was our best performance of the season," beamed Jimmy. "I was very pleased with the boys.

"We kept the ball well, passed it well, showed good team spirit. We also played for the full 90 minutes. They've set themselves a standard now and it's up to them to keep it up."

Spurs U17s: Rutherford, Perry, Dobson, Tyrie, Foster, Noto (Price, 80), Barnet, Watson (Hicks, 87), Slabber, Malcolm (Yeates, 80), Wetner. Unused: Eyre, Jenkins.
