Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

We asked a selection of players to pick ten numbers at random from a choice of 75 and answer the questions allocated to those numbers — first up Les Ferdinand.
What did you want to do when you were growing up?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Les Ferdinand: “I wasn’t one of those kids who wanted to be a footballer. Simply because, at that time, there were very few black players who I could identify with. So I went through wanting to be a fireman, policeman and stuff like that without really knowing what I wanted to do.”
What is your nickname?
LF: “Ferdy, Fellow or Chester.”
Can you remember your first kiss?
LF: “My first proper kiss was with a girl called Claire. She was a goods kisser. She taught me a lot.”
What posters did you have on the wall as a kid?
LF: “My mum wouldn’t let me have posters. I had a darts board and made loads of holes in the wall, so she wouldn’t let me have posters.”
Are school days the best days of your life?
LF: “Looking back, my school days were fantastic times. The only disappointing thing was that I didn’t work harder.”
Is United’s current monopoly good for English football?
LF: “You have to give credit where credit’s due. I don’t know if it is good for English football. It probably is for teams going into Europe but domestically, no.”
What is the worst thing about being a footballer?
LF: “I can’t think of one. There are so many plus points to being a footballer it far outweighs any negatives.”
What is the worst thing anyone has either written about or said to you?
LF: “The list is too long! There has been a lot of stuff that has been written and you can’t prove to people that it isn’t true. Nine times out of 10 it doesn’t affect you but it does affect you family and that is the down side to it.”
What is the best film of all time?
LF: “Coming to America.”
