US countdown - NFL stage awaits

Scott Parker and Michael Dawson can't wait to take the NFL stage - as we face Liverpool at the home of Baltimore Ravens during our summer tour of the USA.

US countdown - NFL stage awaits

The second game of our three-match tour of the States - kicking-off at LA Galaxy on July 24 - sees us take on the Reds at the M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, July 28 at 1pm local time.

It's a typically huge NFL Stadium with a capacity of over 71,000.

Scott played at Pittsburgh Steelers' famous Heinz Field with Chelsea in 2004. "It will be brilliant," he said. "I played in Steelers' stadium a few years back and these stadiums (in America) are something else.

"It will be a great experience and one we're all looking forward to."

Michael added: "To play in an NFL stadium will be something special, it will be an amazing atmosphere. I'm sure there will be thousands of fans there and they are all looking forward to it as well."

Jermain Defoe explained that the lads will be determined to beat the Reds. "There is no such thing as a friendly, especially when you play a Premier League team who will be challenging for the same thing as us," said the striker. "That's why we'll all want to win."

It's a game of firsts - our first ever match in Baltimore, our first ever match at an NFL stadium (with grass laid especially for the occasion) and our first match against Liverpool on American soil.

It’s set to be a fantastic day so don’t miss out!
