Up for it

Ledley King has travelled to Poland declaring: "We're up for the challenge."

Club captain Ledley is set to lead us out in a key UEFA Cup first round, second leg tie against Wisla Krakow on Thursday, kick-off 2.40pm UK time.

We have a 2-1 lead from the first leg at the Lane so a win or draw will take us through to the group stages of the competition.

The lads know it will be no easy task against the Polish champions.

Wisla impressed at the Lane and have already beaten Barcelona at home in European competition this season. That was in the final qualifying round of the Champions League but they already trailed 4-0 from the first leg at the Nou Camp.

"The first leg was a test for us and this will be no different," reasoned Ledley. "They came to White Hart Lane, tried to play football and I was quite impressed with them.

"We have a slight advantage but we're well aware it will be tough, especially with the atmosphere in the stadium."

Ledley says we can take confidence from last week's Carling Cup win at Newcastle. "That was a good away performance and probably how we'll have to set-up and play this time.

"If we can do something similar in Poland I'm confident we can progress.

"It's vitally important we get through to the group stages and we're ready for the challenge."
