Unlucky Luke back at Lane

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Unlucky Luke Young is back in action for the reserves at White Hart Lane on Tuesday night (7pm).
Our Mr Versatile was widely tipped to return to the first-team scene against Derby County on Saturday but had to withdraw on the morning of the match after a bout of gastroenteritis.
Back in September, the England Under-21 star looked certain to take over from Sol Campbell but a foot injury kept him out for a month. Now he’s over his injury and brief illness and set for action again.
Manager Chris Hughton revealed: “Luke was unlucky on Saturday but he’s okay, trained very well on Monday and will play.”
Young will take his place in an exciting-looking side that will include the young talent of Alton Thelwell, Anthony Gardner, Ledley King, Simon Davies, Gary Doherty and Matthew Etherington. Willem Korsten, Jose Dominguez and Ian Walker may also be involved.
Hughton said: “The squad is very similar to last week. We’ve got a nice mixture, a lot of what I would call the younger pros in Gary Doherty, Anthony Gardner, Luke Young and Simon Davies.
“One player missing will be Stephen Clemence who of course played in the first team on Saturday. I’d like to think part of that was down to his performances in the reserves.”
Hughton is looking to build on last week’s fine victory against Southampton.
He added: “Confidence comes from results and we’ve had two good results - our reserve game last week against Southampton which was a very good performance and result and of course the first team result at the weekend. We’re going into this match with what I would like to think is a confident squad.”
To listen to Chris's thoughts, click here
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
