We kick-off the 2015-16 season against United at 12.45pm.
Mauricio is pleased with the best part of five weeks’ pre-season work taking in six friendlies - now it’s the real thing.
“Our feeling is good, especially after the victory against Milan in the Audi Cup on Wednesday,” said Mauricio.
“Pre-season was hard for the players but I think we are ready to compete against Manchester United.
“It’s a tough start for us but we start the season with good energy, the batteries are full and now we need to enjoy it.”
Mauricio echoed the feelings of the players determined to put right last season’s match at Old Trafford where we arrived full of confidence only to go 3-0 down inside 35 minutes - that’s how the scoreline stayed.
“My feeling was one of disappointment last season because we arrived with a lot of confidence and it’s true, in the first 20 minutes we killed the game. Our performance wasn’t enough and this is a good opportunity to change that.”
