Rivals Manchester United and Liverpool both lost on Friday night.
United were beaten 1-0 at Wolves and with two matches remaining, can now get to 27 points.
Liverpool lost 2-1 at West Ham and can now reach 26 points.
Our derby victory against Arsenal at Barnet on Monday night took us to 29 points.
It means we will take on the winners of the play-off between the winners of Group One and Group Two in the semi-finals of next month's play-offs.
The top three from the Elite Group qualify with the second and third-placed teams meeting in the other play-off semi-final. United, Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton will fight it out for second and third.
Our Under-21s have performed magnificently this season.
After losing the first two matches of Phase One of the all-new competition back in August, they won seven, drew one and lost one of the next 10 to win National Group Two.
That meant they took their place in the Elite Group and take that title after winning nine and losing just two of their 13 matches so far.
Incredibly, they've scored 77 goals in 25 matches and have maintained top spot in the Elite Group despite losing a number of players out on loan - John Bostock, Nathan Byrne, Souleymane Coulibaly, Yago Falque, Harry Kane, Massimo Luongo, Ryan Mason, Jon Obika, Adam Smith and Andros Townsend have all featured and are currently furthering their football experience elsewhere.
The lads will finish their Elite Group campaign at Southampton on Monday, kick-off 2.30pm.
