FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE
Bristol City 0-1 Spurs
Our under-19s ended a sequence of four games in a row on the road with a win after a hard-fought contest with Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Tuesday.
Yannick Kamanan scored the goal for Pat Holland's (pictured) side when he was played through by Johnnie Jackson and rounded the City keeper to slot home the winner.
City enjoyed the majority of the possession and had a golden chance to level the scores around the half hour mark when Stephen Kelly was penalised for shirt tugging in his own area. Fortunately, the spot-kick failed to find the target.
The back-four of Maurizio Consorti, James Quilter, Kelly and Neil Lacy were singled out for praise by Academy coach Michael Stone for restricting City to few chances in the second half despite the hosts dominating proceedings "The back four did very well," said Stone.
For midfielder Johnnie Jackson the occasion was enriched by being staged at a League venue.
"We played at their first ground, Ashton Gate, it was nice, lovely pitch to play on," said Jacko. "We played some decent football and won - so it was a good result for us."
