Jimmy Neighbour's side took the lead on 40 minutes after dominating the opening period when Jamie Slabber scored after being played through into a one-on-one with the Bristol City keeper.
City levelled on 70 minutes after establishing a foothold in the game.
"It was terrible conditions, very windy, but depite that we played some very good football," said coach Jimmy. "We kept it well and passed the ball well."
"They never seriously threatend us in the first half and we created a couple of chances at the start of the second, but didn't take them.
"They then had their 20 minute spell and equalised the first time they got behind us.
"Overall we were the better team and with better finishing we would have won it. It was a disappointing result, but I'm reasonably pleased."
Team: Rutherford, Perry, McKie, Barnett, Foster, Tyrie, Noto, Wettner, Slabber, Yeates, Ford (Malcolm 45). Subs not used: Eyre, Dobson, Hicks, Jenkins.
Our under-17 side registered a fourth score draw of the season when they were held 1-1 at Bristol City on Saturday.
