Chris Ramsey was pleased to see a couple of Under-14 players cope well with promotion into the Under-16 group at the weekend.

Anthony Jack and Ghislaino Kamdo both played as the Under-16s lost out 1-0 against Reading. Takura Mtandi also impressed with a number of raids from right-back and Adam Smith returned from injury.

Assistant Academy Manager and Under-16 coach Chris said: “We played extremely well. Reading had a strong Under-16 team, very big and physical, so apart from conceding a very sloppy goal I came away feeling very positive about how we played.

“We had a couple of excellent performances from Takura Mtandari and Kyle Fraser-Allen and it was good to see Adam Smith come back from injury and playing well out of position.

“Takura had three chances from right-back which underlines how well he played and we also fielded two Under-14s in Anthony Jack and Ghislaino Kamdo, who both did well.

“Adam is one of a number of our Under-15 players who are starting to emerge ready for next year alongside the likes of Mark Clare, Ryan Mason, Saulo Asajile and Jonathan Obika. They are all staking their claims now. Yaser Kasim has also done very well and I’m delighted with how they’ve progressed.â€Â
