Ben Bowditch reports that his trial period at West Ham began with some promise.
The 19-year-old midfielder played in a reserve game for the Hammers against Wimbledon last week at and found the net. A case of so far so good?
"Yes, by all accounts," considered Ben, back at Spurs Lodge receiving treatment for a slight injury. "I enjoyed the game, we played at Upton Park against Wimbledon and I scored a goal - which is always nice!
"I keep getting injured at this moment and need games. West Ham have given me that chance and, if that is to be, I'll take that. I just want to play games and improve myself as much as I can."
Ben has been training with the West Ham first team squad and senses a determination to impress new boss Alan Pardew.
"They are all in for each other at the moment. A new manager has come in and they are trying to impress and get in the first team. While I was over there the training was good and it was fun."
