Ugo Ehiogu wants our Under-21s to be quick out of the blocks against Norwich City at White Hart Lane tonight (Friday, March 11).

We host the Canaries at our world-famous stadium, having triumphed 3-2 at Carrow Road earlier in the season.

A large crowd is expected on the night – tickets details below – and Under-21s Coach Ugo says it’s important for the players to start well as they bid to return to winning ways in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League.

“We don’t know which players Norwich will select but for our boys the targets are much the same – we want to control the game and be effective,” he said.

“We’re playing at White Hart Lane and it’s about making sure the boys grasp that opportunity and have the confidence to start from the first minute. We’ve had spells in games where we’ve been very good but sometimes it’s not been until after we’ve gone a goal down or after half-time so that’s the key message.

“We’ve got lots of things that we’ve been working on, not only ball control and controlling the game but also being more effective in the final third.

“It’s good experience for the boys to play at the Lane but really it goes from being a good experience to a better experience if they play well and express themselves in the way they play.”

Kick-off is at 7pm tonight – why not come along and watch the lads live at White Hart Lane?
