Spurs v United U21s - Ugo's preview

Posted on 19 April 2016  - 13:08

Ugo Ehiogu wants our Under-21s to finish their season with a flourish against Manchester United at White Hart Lane tonight (Tuesday, April 19).

The curtain comes down on our Barclays Under-21 Premier League campaign with a tough test against a United side chasing the divisional title.

The Red Devils need a solitary point from their remaining three games to take the crown for the second year in a row but for Ugo the focus is on our own players, with our Under-21s Coach looking for his charges to build on last week’s 3-1 win over Sunderland.

“You always want to finish the season well, it’s the lasting memory that you have of the year so you want to be positive and put on a good performance,” he said.

“The boys have shown that in glimpses – the last game was an entertaining and exciting one where we improved on the last performance and if we keep improving in that way I think we’ll be happy.

“Obviously Manchester United are up there in their league programme but really I’m interested in our display. We always say that we want a competitive, hard-working performance where the players try to be creative and try to do the right things so we’re hoping that they do that again tonight.”

Kick-off at the Lane is at 7pm – ticket details here.
