Spurs weekend preview - big games ahead!

Posted on 20 January 2017  - 09:52

There are only two fixtures to look ahead to across the Club this weekend - but they're both matches to whet the appetite! Here's our usual weekly run-down of who is due to play where and when...

First team
MANCHESTER CITY v SPURS
Premier League
Saturday, January 21, 2017
Etihad Stadium, 5.30pm

We've another big test in the Premier League on Saturday as we travel to Manchester City for a 5.30pm kick-off.

We produced one of our best performances of the season to see off Pep Guardiola's side with a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture at White Hart Lane in October and, after memorably winning 2-1 at the Etihad last February, we'll be keen to enjoy another good performance this time around.

City go into the game off the back of a 4-0 defeat at Everton last weekend and are in fifth place ahead of Saturday's action with 42 points – three behind us.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media ahead of the game on Thursday – check out what he had to say here…

Under-18s
ARSENAL v SPURS
Under-18 Premier League
Saturday, January 21, 2017
London Colney, 11.30am (please note the new kick-off time – previously advertised as 10.45am)

It's our first Under-18 Premier League outing for some eight weeks – and what a game we have in prospect!

We travel to Arsenal for a North London derby with plenty of momentum on our side, having won the IMG Cup in Florida and the five-a-side Jugend Eurocup in Germany last weekend, not to mention two FA Youth Cup ties by heavy margins, since our last domestic outing at Norwich at the beginning of December.

The reverse fixture in October ended 4-2 to the Gunners thanks to two late goals, meaning there's once again a great deal to play for on Saturday. You'll be able to follow the game with live updates on Twitter @SpursOfficial.

Under-18s
SPURS v NORWICH CITY
FA Youth Cup, fifth round
Tuesday, January 24, 2017
Stevenage, 7pm

There's another big game for our Under-18s to look forward to in midweek as we host Norwich City in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup at Stevenage's Lamex Stadium on Tuesday night (kick-off 7pm).

We've scored 14 goals in our last two ties in this competition, but we're sure to face a stern test against a Canaries side that is always strong at this level – we've endured a 2-2 home draw and 3-2 away loss in our two meetings with them in the Under-18 Premier League this season.

Again, we'll bring you live updates on Twitter @SpursOfficial.

Tickets will also be available at Stevenage on the night, priced at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.
