Spurs fixtures this week

Thu 24 August 2017, 11:17|Tottenham Hotspur

It's the last weekend of Premier League action before the international break and, for us, proceedings get underway on Friday night with a Premier League 2 clash with Manchester United at Stevenage.

Our Development Squad will be keen to get some points on the board against the Red Devils in what is usually a well-attended fixture at the Lamex Stadium, with Under-23s Coach Wayne Burnett keen to see a reaction after Monday's disappointing loss to West Ham.

“I expect the boys to perform,” he said. “Some of our passages of play were very good on Monday so we need to build on that, but we need to eradicate the stuff that wasn't so good. We'll be ready for the game on Friday because it's another opportunity for our players to perform.”

Saturday sees our Under-18s return to action at the Training Centre as Brighton & Hove Albion come to visit, before the first team takes on Burnley at Wembley on Sunday.

Next Thursday, our Under-23s are then back in action at Stevenage against West Ham in the first of our three group stage matches in the Premier League International Cup.
