The division of the teams into pots takes into consideration the economic interests of the clubs, along with the regional criteria set by the Club Competitions Committee.
The draw will be made from each pot, with a seeded team facing a non-seeded team. Which pot we have been allocated to will be determined in the morning ahead of the main draw, when we will also discover whether we are a seeded team or not.
The first round games will take place on Thursday September 20 and Thursday October 4.
The draw for the first round of the UEFA Cup takes place in Monaco tomorrow at noon, where we will discover which team we will have to overcome in order to reach the Group Stage of competition.A total of 81 clubs [the odd number due to the Sevilla-AEK Athens Champions League contest not taking place until Monday following the tragic passing of Antonio Puerta] will be divided into pots of ten, with five seeded clubs and five non-seeded.
