The team's unbeaten run in this second phase of the competition came to an end with a 4-3 loss against Wolves at AFC Telford United FC on Monday night.

Goals from Shaq Coulthirst and Jack Munns looked to have put the lads in control but Wolves fired back with two goals in two minutes to level on the hour.

Dean Parrett restored the lead at 3-2 with 15 minutes remaining but the home side were not to be denied and won it with two goals in the final 10 minutes.

It was only the team's second defeat in the 17 matches in the Barclays U21 Premier League and they still sit top of the Elite Group with five wins, a draw and now one defeat in seven matches.

"We learned a few harsh lessons and sometimes a defeat highlights those lessons for you," said Chris, our Senior Professional Phase Coach.

"At times, you learn more from getting beaten, rather than pulling the game around. We had enough chances to do that but we still wouldn't have been happy with the performance.

"Ultimately, it was one of those midweek games that the lads have got to get used to, games where we want to see a consistency in their performances.

"Dean Parrett was outstanding throughout, making chances, surging runs, breaking up play in midfield and he always looked a threat.

"We've only had two defeats in 17 and there is always going to be an occasion where it doesn't go right. We all hope the players learn from it it and come back stronger against West Brom on Monday."
